Social Sense Picks up Innovation Award for Greater Moments
Media City based Social Sense won the Federation of Small Business (FSB) North-West Business Innovation of the Year at its annual event held recently at The Edwardian in Manchester.
Hosted by Andy Crane, the event attracted more than 300 people throughout the North West to celebrate successes across the region.
The award was for the agency’s in-house product Greater Moments, an app developed with and for people affected by dementia.
Accepting the award Founder Gary Lovatt said:
“We have created Greater Moments to better support carers and people with Dementia in accessing local activities, services and events with the aim of understanding current response and how lives can be improved.
We’re thrilled to be recognised for what we’re doing and will continue to improve the app so that more people can benefit”.
Robert Downes Development Manager, Greater Manchester Federation of Small Businesses:
“The standard of entries this year was particularly high, and we also had a record number of entrants across the board in each of the categories. This is remarkable given the sheer number of issues businesses have had to deal with over the past 12 months and is testament to the brilliant businesses we have across the NW.
“While that kind of volume doesn’t make the judges’ job any easier, it does ensure the winners really truly exceptional, and so congrats go to all the winners as well as all the finalists who all reached a very high level to make the final shortlist.
“These are not easy awards to win so a massive well done to Gary and the team for emerging as eventual winners. Congratulations.”
