Sharing Greater Moments during Carers Week
Greater Manchester Living Well with Dementia event. People sat around a large conference room with people sat at the front taking part in a panel discussion.

This week is national Carers Week. It highlights the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities. A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older.

During this Carers Week, the team at Social Sense have been out and about at events and activities, meeting carers and professionals across Greater Manchester. It has been great to listen to carers and those they care for and understand how we can help through a wonderful app we have developed called Greater Moments.

What is Greater Moments you say?

It is an app that brings you the very best of all activities, services, and events together in one place in Greater Manchester. It shares opportunities to connect and record meaningful moments to demonstrably boost your wellbeing. For carers both paid and unpaid and those they care for; it can offer a place for them to capture their thoughts and experiences. Together or when having some me time.

The app is ORCHA approved and free to anyone to download and is available on Android, iOS or through our website.

‘This is great to use with my husband. I will tell my friends about this app’
