We're delighted to announce that Social Sense Ltd, in partnership with Stacey Adams Consultancy, has been awarded a significant contract to deliver targeted engagement and social marketing initiatives for low-income smokers in Tameside.

This innovative project combines Social Sense's award-winning social marketing expertise with Stacey Adams' extensive experience in community health engagement and co-production.

Building on Social Sense's current work with the Tameside Lung Cancer Screening consultation and our previous success in tobacco-related campaigns, this new initiative will take a comprehensive five-phase approach to engage residents. The programme aims to reach 300 low-income residents through consultation and engage over 1,000 residents through developed materials and campaigns.

We will be working alongside other commissions with similar aims across different demographics.

"This project comes at a crucial time as we work to address social inequalities, compounded by tobacco use says Gary Lovatt, Managing Director of Social Sense. "Our approach combines behavioural science through COM-B modelling with genuine community engagement to create sustainable change."

The programme will feature multiple engagement strategies, including partnerships with local community organisations and businesses, targeted social media campaigns, and outreach at key locations in the area to engage with low income residents who smoke.

The consultation phase has already started and the co-produced campaign materials are expected by Spring 2025.

We look forward to working closely with Public Health at Tameside Council and local community partners to deliver this important work.
